why continue with the talks if the arabs don't want to recognize Israel as the jewish state? That is a right, not a condition. First, in the same way Israel recognize that the palestinians deserve a state for them (a palestinian state) next to Israel (that is the reason of the talks) they MUST recognize that next to them is the jewish state. and of course security is important. they must guarantee no more attacks to israelis by muslim extremists.................... after recognize the existence of two states, They can continue with the borders of the two recognized states! so first is recognition in both sides of the two states for the two people...... then, Israel must retain jewish populated areas in west bank and give arab populated areas (adjacent to west bank) in order to endorse a jewish majority and decrease the arab population percentage (with them there is no population exchange, just border adjust)...................................................... I don't understand why some people want one state for two people or return of the "refugees". most of israelis want a jewish state for the jews, and the arabs want a state for them. throughout history many wars have been solved by population exchange (greece-turkey, Pakistan-India etc) and now, at least there are no ethnic problems, so that is not a bad solution.... arabs to palestine ( i'm not saying Jordan, i mean palestine, west bank and gaza) and jews to israel.................................. in the same way the jewish expelled people from arab lands can't return to their homes because there are no more their homes or are occupied by another people, the arabs must accept that they can't return to the land they left in 1948. solution, jews to israel, arabs to palestine. shalom

Ashkenazi and Barak.

Why Barak regrets speaking out on Iran

There was no security breach in what the former defense minister said about how an attack was thwarted; what has suffered is mainly Israel’s image as a well-run, normal country whose leaders are capable of keeping a secret.

Not a migrant, not an immigrant – there has to be a third option, but he doesn't know how to say it in English, Arabic or Hebrew.

How the bagel went from shtetls to haute cuisine

A visit to the world's bagel capital is a chance to marvel at how this unassuming Jewish-Ashkenazi food has come from its 17th-century beginnings.
