It cannot expect the world to treat it with the same caution as they would a superpower, especially since it professes to be a democracy at a time when other democracies strive to uphold human rights. Seemingly Israelis cannot decide what is more important to them: a Jewish majority in the nation they sought for themselves, or the land which belongs to others but which they still covet. One thing is certain though: the world will not allow this to continue indefinitely. Sooner or later, the occupation will end. Whether due to annexation or Palestinian independence is yet to be seen, but the latter is looking increasingly unlikely.
