We keep repeating the mantra that Israel is a Democracy. It is not. It is governed by a Leader of a Political Party who DICTATES who will be the members of the Knesset, deciding which of his cronies,lap-dogs, or corruptores will be on HIS list. The citizens of Israel have no choice, unless they are members of a politcal party, to decide who will represent them in the Knesset. Until there is a radical reform of the election system, getting rid of Proportionl Representation, and implementing direct elections of Regional Candidates to the Knesset of competent, intelligent people to represent them, the citizens of Israel, then we will continue to have a Party-Leader dictator sytem of government which serves only the political party's interests and not that of the State.
