Israeli strategists are drunk at the wheel. Cutting supplies to Gaza is a GIFT to Hamas. With conditions in Gaza deteriorating under Hamas rule, Israel handed Hamas a massive scape-goat. Israel cutting off supplies allows Hamas to tell the people; "See, you aren't suffering because of us, you are suffering because of Israel". It doesn't matter if it is true or not. This is political strategy, not Jeopardy. Being right or wrong isn't the issue when it comes to recruiting terrorists. It's the emotional leverage that Hamas can manipulate that counts. And Israel just handed Hamas a HUGE lever. The evidence is already pouring in. The Israeli ploy of trying to get the Pal. people to force out Hamas has backfired. Israel is only helping Hamas solidify their backing among Gazans. Just like they helped Hamas get elected by opposing them being allowed to run. Israel is failing the strategic political war, and cannot stop themselves due to their lust for revenge.
