65-year-old from local kibbutz suffers moderate wounds after being stabbed in the neck in southern Israel; manhunt underway for suspected assailant.21:04 06.02.16 | 0 comments
When I lived in the US I used to donate to various countries throughout the world. Then I started to notice that none of them worked in Israel. Some of them worked in places like Saudi Arabia--a very rich country. Today, all my charitable money stays in Israel. Not all of the donations I make are even to organizations when I see families who are living in such poverty, I help. I spend money on the orphans in my daughter's school, or my son's friend whose family can't afford to help him in a basic way. This piece is like the common housefly, seeking garbage to feed on. I've never seen a more essential compassion than the Jewish nation, whether they live in Israel or abroad. I could write an entire article about the compassion and giving of this land, what Israel gives this world. This is not the place and it would fall on deaf ears in any case.
