Amos Hael and Avi Issacharoff, two Israelis, saw straight through Israel's deceit in Gaza; to provoke the Palestinians into more Kassam attacks (what about the people of Sderot?) in order to make plausible a major military operation including a massive bombardment of Gaza. Israel clearly does not mind putting its own people in Sderot at risk. It does not mind putting its soldiers at risk. It minds even less how many innocent Palestinian civilians will be killed, because, as the article states, they will have nowhere to run. And when Israel has reduced Gaza to nothing but heaps of broken concrete, rubble, and corpses, does it think the world will say "Well done!" Israel ignores the UN and the EU as always, but perhaps even America's long tolerance of Israeli treatment of the Palestinians will waver in the face of this underhand method of dealing Gaza a deathblow. And if America doesn't hit that "Veto" button in the UN when sanctions against Israel are called for...what then?
