The next day, 5 Arab armies invaded the one day old country of 600 thousand inhabitants, and were beaten by Israel, because Israel was much more motivated to survive, than Arabs to destroy her. Today, if Netanyahu's government insists on settling the West Bank, it is only logical that the PA would seek recognition for a state everyone but Israel agrees on. Israel will rant and ravel, but in the end, it would benefit from the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem be the Palestinian state. No more Palestinian whining, no more passing the responsability to Israel, and some governments, if Israel recognizes the Palestinian state, would have diplomatic relations with Israel: some Arab and Muslim states: Morocco, Mauritania (again), Oman, perhaps Afghanistan, Indonesia, Malaysia and some Gulf states too. Not a bad outcome, unless Iran penetrates the West Bank. That is the only thing Israel should fight with all her might and intelligence.
