This morning Reuven Pedatzur provides much information about the deception which the Occupation Army uses to channel public funds to it coffers. Barak Ravid writes about the government's new guidelines and national priorities to provide more funds to settlements where Naftali Bennett's supporters live. Now, the guidelines document -- which was issued on the day that John Kerry launched his Washington negotiations -- includes additional support for "outposts" such as Rehalim, Sansana and Brukhin -- which were considered, only a few months ago, by the Israeli Government "ILLEGAL OUTPOSTS"! In §2c the document says that providing additional financing to these ILLEGAL settlements is done "In order to ATTRACT more people to areas of National Priority... who live in areas defined by the Security Apparatus as "HIGH SECURITY RISK AREAS (3 to 5 in the Military scale)". But wouldn't it be wiser to remove those ILLEGAL Outposts and all the ILLEGAL Settlements, and reduce the allocations to secure these, and the military budget? It seems that the Israeli government is determined to INCREASE the threat to its citizens and destroy any attempt to reach peace with its neighbours. The only questions is addressed to the U.S. Administration which continues to finance the Occupation Military Force and the Illegal Settlements, while maintaining that it strives to bring peace between Israel and its Palestinian neighbours.
