'A family is a father, mother and children, and not two fathers and a child,' said Avi Wurtzman during his previous Knesset stint. While doing nothing to advance socioeconomic issues, he did initiate a 23 million shekel project for daily study of Torah.09:29 01.12.15 | 1 comments
It is time to the Israeli politicians to stop and reflect upon what a future Israeli society will look like: a Jewish society or a multi-religious mixed society that NO longer will be a nation for the Jewish people and represent Zionism. There should actually be a referendum on this issue. IF Israel allows goyim immigration, he will need to compromize on the principles of his existance and turn into a "nation of nations" satisfying also the goyim's needs like today those of the Russians. Personally I find such an orientation regrettable, since it inevitably will allienate Israel from everything traditionally Jewish. I wish Israel learned from his Arab neighbours, who protect their unique Arab identities by restrictive legislation. In order to preserve something we hold dear in our private lives as well as a nation, we need boundaries, which guarantee its survival. Are we now that we finally have a Jewish homeland willing to let go off it? Are we no longer holding Zionism dear?
