Michael Oren has more to apologize for than what was described as a pointless initiative. He would do better to pay attention to the leadership of American Jewish organizations like J Street that are in tune with the vision of American Jews. Instead, he refuses to meet with them. As for the pointless campaign, it is harmless and should not have generated such a strong response. It is unlikely that British ex-patriots living in the US will be up in arms about Virgin Atlantic's advertisement to get them to fly home for a visit with a question: are your children starting to call football soccer?
