Israel and Turkey are occassional allies of convenience, but it's a shakey arrangement. they have common cause in containing syria, iran, and iraq, but the fundamentalist tendencies of turkey are very apparent. so, israel should proceed cautiously. yes, sell them arms and know how for defensive purposes, but don't expect diplomatic support against the palestinians. blood is thicker than water.
