Rabbinic human rights group T’ruah calls for transparency on donor money spent on settlements.17:48 08.10.15 | 1 comments
Elie Podeh is partially right. He does not mention the many Israeli voices which are genuine in their readiness for peace. They do not control the levers of power and never have;but to deny their existence is unfair..To say that the Israeli government"and people"are not really interested in peace is misleading. What about Rabin? What about Yuri Aveniry and the Israelis who oppose Palestinian home demolition and oppose settlements.? The Israeli establishment is using peace and negotiations in order to gain enough time to swallow what remained of Palestinian land and make a viable Palestinian state impossible. In the long run 'this is not in the interest of Israel. I have supported Camp David and felt deceived. I support the Arab League plan of o2 and wait for a positive Israeli response .So far it has proved elusive;but we should never lose hope in the People the way MrPode seems to do.
