Aluf Benn is right on all counts. But what message should the (imaginary) Israeli leader convey to the country at large? As the fate of the Palestinians does not concern Israelis, and they are more concerned with their prosperity and security, the message has to be twofold: one, that worldwide sanctions and divestments will impoverish them, and two, that there is a military answer to the danger of assaults from the West Bank (not 'Judea and Samaria'). No other arguments will work.
