israel may find that it is a good time to spend less on the military.it has done so well in defeating its enemies that it is difficult to imagine armies approaching its borders with thousands of tanks. air power can decimate battalions of tanks from a long distance.who would dare approach our borders? airpower is still important and so no cuts should be made there at the moment. huge funds can be directed to the poor in israel by cutting military spending. the real enemy are insurgents and terrorists and so israel needs to arm itself appropriately to beat them.hopefully a cheaper enemy to fight.
