'There’s a unique place of pique for the Israelis in certain places in the administration' hovering over negotiations, expert tells New York Times.08:55 29.04.16 | 0 comments
Shure, pragmatism in politics is a good virtue, but I thought Israel is alraedy a westren democracy, do we really need to begin with the 19th century again to covince the right-wingers of the most basic principles of western democracy as f.ex. : all men are equal especially before the law and shall not be discriminated cause of there race, religion, sex and so on? And by the way, what govt- posts the left has to offer? Otherwise did the left, Labor, participated in Kadima and Likud- Govt to mild their radicalism, to compromise with them to find a way in the middle, and at the end Barak failed, or he was a bad strategist, or he turned out to be a Likudnik. and his gvt post was his plum job. Do we really want to wait other 100 years to reach a true democracy with equality of all citizens? to get a peace treaty with the palestinians, or is it simply that the other side doesn't want to compromise. What is the compromise between a the Two- State- Solution and the colonization of the Westbank...?
