    The blogger expressed amazement at Israeli poverty compaired to Lebanon. According to the CIA Website updated February 2007 - the per capita GDP - purchesing power parity (PPP) adjusted for the two countries is as follows for 2006: Lebanon $5,500 ; Israel $26,200! That means Israelis enjoy almost 5 times the real purchasing power per person than the lebenese do. Of course the CIA does not have a reputation of getting things right, in a very big way.
