In a modern, democratic world followers of all religions live across the world as citizens of numerous nations. Catholics, Moslems, Hindus etc., don't refer to a diaspora because they are citizens of different countries so why do Jews do it? It's a religion. It doesn't matter where you live or what your nationality is. Religions do not have homelands or land rights or nationhood despite the teaching of Judaism - there are Israelis who are Jews and there are Israelis who are Muslims or Christians and there are Jews who are American, Canadian, Iranian, Indian - and countless other nations. There is no diaspora. Time to free Israel from religion so Israelis may join the free and modern world.
