Just because Egypt and Syria are not currently presenting severe difficulties doesn't mean they don't intend to when their situation allows them to refocus on that agenda. The economics of the present state (lots of money going to the PA and Egypt) may not play as well for Syria. The longer term objectives of Islam against the Jews hasn't been revised, they still want our land, our wealth, etc. Isn't this part of their ultimate objective to replace Yitzchak with Ishmael? All part of their replacement theology, distortions of the legacy of Abraham. In the world of today their insidious objectives play out on all fronts. The Muslim world has failed again to adjust to a post-Ottoman, Omayyad, Abbasid, Fatimid reality, perhaps it cannot. Islam needs a new type of leader, one that can make peace within and without.
