An article in the NY Times today said that Livni would not join a government to allow Netenyahu to jettison his far rigjht parties because she preferred to see the government collapse and take her chances on new elections. If that's the case, Livni bears a heavy responsibilty for letting this moment pass while she positions herself for a grab for power. I wonder if the NY Times article is correct. The article also stated that Labor would leave the coalition if peace talks foundered over the settlement freeze issue. I wonder if that, too, is correct.
