So the ADL conducts a survey on anti-semitism in America ... ranks up there with the Right to Life survey of attitudes toward abortion. People are asked to respond to a series of statements that all have negative connotations - sticking together, liking to be at the head of things, too much power and control, etc. What do you expect from a survey frame such as this? If you look at the little-mentioned results, 55% of Americans believe that Jews have a special commitment to social justice and civil rights, 65% believe that Jews have contributed much to the cultural life of America, and 79% believe that Jews place an emphasis on the importance of family life. And, "Americans who hold negative attitudes about Jews also more likely to hold intolerant beliefs, generally." I'm shocked.
