This is a joke.... :-( I agree with JoJo: the fact that the UN is involved means nothing. It just makes people's conciousness and the international community feel better. We are talking about people who have experienced their share of human suffering, from genocides, rapes, civil wars, etc. They are NOT "economic migrants", "work migrants" seeking to make money to buy cars and luruxy goods. They are seeking asylum and a refuge. They are doing jobs (without protection and work rights) no one wants to do here in Israel, even those of them that have MA and PhD degrees.... Israel is not doing its job at protecting them and making their life a true hel. And on top of that (that is the true irony!), Israel holds weapon deals, as we speak, in Central Africa Republic, Uganda, Congo, Ivory Coast, Sudan, etc. Only when Israel will stop selling weapons to those countries, which are those very countries of origin of the "infiltrators", well.... maybe the Israelis who are xenophobic towards this issue can start complaining about having too many Africans in its land!

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
