A purely defensive strategy by itself never really succeeded except in rare cases. If one climbs high over Israel.What does he notice: The wall & barbed-wire stretching for hundreds of klms. And soon another fence stretching along the Israel-Egypt border. I'm not saying it's not necessary at certain parts,but the overall strategy should be based on the offensive. Again,& again & again till the other side sees that the cost is too much to bear,& then there'll be a period of arms down on both sides, but with a vigilant eye for surprises.
