Colin Powell was in the UN brandishing satellite photos of "WMD sites" all over Iraq. Certainly if the whole lot (or substantial fraction thereof) had been trucked to Syria and buried or stored, there would be another stack of satellite photos which would be exactly what's required to rehabilitate GWB's severely damaged credibility. If the UN can be persuaded to send investigators into Syria for the Hariri murder investigation (and Syria compelled to admit them) the same could be done about any WMD caches. Does not hold water. As for any remnant WMD caches in Iraq, there's all sorts of US troop concentrations that would make attractive WMD targets to those so inclined and equipped, especially after the orgy of white phosphorus in Falluja. Has not happened.
