An awful lot of Americans were strongly opposed to this from the beginning despite all the bogus information and war hysteria the shrub administration could muster. Every day we stay in Iraq is a defeat for them. Is withdrawal a defeat for American values or a return to traditional American values after a catastrophic exercise in imperial overreach? I really thought we had learned our lesson from Vietnam. Let's spend money in Iraq in a way we are certain will help the people of Iraq instead of continuing this very reckless bet with other people's lives.
