QUOTE: "the U.S. has more pressing issues than the Israeli-Palestinian conflict such as, for example, Iraq, Afghanistan as well as, of course, Iran. Unfortunately, none of those issues would be solved even if peace is achieved between Israel and the Palestinians." Yes, but the US is already dealing with these as well as it can. Afghanistan and Iraq are receiving the US's full attention. What more do you want? Iran is a problem, but there is little that can be done about it without igniting a Persian Gulf war. Palestine is a tractable problem where an ostensible ally is, through political obstinacy and gridlock, creating a big PR problem for the US. All while being the US's leading arms recipient. Keep in mind that 2 of the other problem states have been targets of US invasions, and the third is a target of sanctions. Is this the company that Israel wants to keep?
