Question: what would happen if Ahmadinejad were to announce, like President Sadat in 1977, that he'd sue for peace with, and visit, Israel. Can one imagine how that simple move may defuse the present situation, throw the ME & the world into a tizzy and may defuse Iran's nuclear weapons ambitions, all in one go? It would also, at a stroke, dramatically improve Iran's relations with America & end sanctions. But they won't do it because they hate Israel and Jews too much; besides, he doesn't have the courage to do so, because he'd have to swallow his threats to destroy Israel. Mind you, Sadat said some pretty similar things about Israel, before his visit.
