Chemi Shalev misses the point. Netanyu's number one priority is not the Iran bomb. It is maintaining his coalition and fending off those on his right. If he worked quietly behind the scenes with President Obama and didn't publicly proclaim that the sky is falling, he would miss an opportuninty to complain about the President whom right wing Jews love to hate. The more he complains about Obama, the more "street cred" he has with his constituency. These right wing Jews always pick the wrong people to be friends and foes. Reagan was a great friend of Israel even though he sold AWACs to the Saudis, put Pollard in jail and felt sorry for dead SS men. Bush I was an enemy even though he was instrumental in getting Jews out of Ethiopia. (Those Jews were "schvartzers" so they don't count.) Bush II was a great friend even though he started the foolish war in Iraq (remember how the right wing Jews loved that war) which is currently handcuffing American policy on Iran. What will the right wing Jews say if the U.S. or Israel bombed Iran, gas prices went to $8 a gallon and certain right wing Republicans started blaming "the Jews" for the country's problems?
