Imam Saeed Azams states "Because Jewish society in Sweden does not condemn the clearly illegal actions of Israel then ordinary people think the Jews here are allied to Israel, but this is not true.” This is an interesting comment when one considers the failure of Muslim leadership to clearly condemn the actions of Muslim states / communities against people of other faiths. It seems that the Imam simply wants to shift the blame from the attackers onto the Jews. Clearly the Sweidish government is little interested in addressing the matter, and it would be better if Swedish Jews organised their departure from that state. Many Swedish voices seem the echo the frequent anti-Israel & antisemitic tones heard in Norway, its neighbour.
