I disagree with you. I think that despite the terrorism that Israelis endure, that they can have someone that can talk about the Palestinian side with conscience shows great humanity. It shows the depth of Judaic teachings on kindness. It shows a selflessness that, as a wife of a Palestinian, I do not find in Palestinian commentary. Not only that, but raising half Palestinian children, I get hit with hard questions. The articulation of the Israeli (Jewish) left gives me an opportunity to show that there is a conscience and a dialogue in the Jewish community that recognizes Palestinian humanity. But, what is more, I then have the room to promote that kind of thinking and discourse in regard to Israel and Palestinian actions towards the Israeli occupation. IMHO, it does the exact opposite. Because Amira Hass is Jewish and Israeli and she is making this critical commentary, the conclusion "and therefore Jews are bad" is not justifiable. A self-critical analysis proves otherwise
