I was very happy to see this article published. I find great sadness when I see members of the Jewish community at large discrimination of another Jew. Because I am gay I can not marry in my state, adopt in most states, donate blood, receive any of my partners benefits or be accepted by my people who are one and the same as I. This type of judgment, discrimination and general lack of concern for one?s common brother is the essential reason we as a people have been killed, condemned and persecuted. No one is asking for acceptance of our ?perverse behaviors? as noted by a previous post. What we are asking for is to be treated like the Jewish human beings that we are and to be a part of the tribe like any other Jew.
