Bradley Burston encapsulates very dramatically and with great perspicacity the problems facing Israel on this 63rd Independence Day we are celebrating tomorrow. Wished that everyone would take heed and awaken and arise from their slumber of inactivity and apathy and moral paralysis! If half a dozen (or more) Arab countries in Israel's neighborhood can take action to throw off the yoke of oppression and of decades (if not centuries) of apathy and acquiescence in the face of that oppression why is Israel lagging behind when it has been touted as the "only Democracy in the Middle East"?? We need to let 2011 become not only the year of the "Arab Spring" but also the year of Jewish and Palestinian awakening and of their embracing of true Freedom and Independence for each other and for both peoples and both States!
