Apparently, he eats the charoses and matzaball soup at his White House seder without wrapping his mind about what Passover is actually all about - and comically reinvents it. There is no enslavement of one people by another in Yemen, Tunisia, Libya or Syria - just ousting of corrupt regimes that never hold elections. Moses was not a revolutionary interested in replacing one Egyptian pharoah with a more democratic and less corrupt pharoah, so the Israelites could enjoy a more "just" slavery. There was no message of "improving" Egypt in the Passover story at all - just getting the hell out of there and becoming free men in the Promised Land! But...maybe Obama's interpretation is the way they teach it in the Indonesian mosque schools he attended as a boy. I'm sure if Obama decided to similarly invent a secular reinterpretation of Ramadan for the world at his next White House Ramadan feast, he would have fatwas and suicide bombers flying at him from every mullah and mosque in the middle East.
