Seems to me that the what's goin' down is that there that the sectors that were browbeaten in the early days of the State by the ersatz Bolsheviks of the anti-clerical Left has lost its political base. The "Palmachniks" are no longer in charge. If, once they could put the Traditional Jews and the Right into a corner far away from the table, they can't play that game anymore. These days, they are at the table and whatever is left of the spirit of the Palmach is a last hurrah. The table, however is as corruptable as ever, and some of the Right and even some of the more Traditionalist sector has eaten some of that "contaminated" food, as it were. It's not the Orthodox, or the Right, guys--it's the system! When it was kosher to divert the money Histadrut members paid for the Health Services to run poltiical campaigns, nobody complained until the worms took over the apples. I am still not sure that the Right, or the Traditionalist sector is as wicked as the Left and their opinion leaders preach. Bein' that close to gravy can lead to an appetite, as it did in the bad old early days of the State. Rather than trashing the guys you don't like, both sides talkin' to each other , a little bit of Achdut us might help,

Though she concedes boycott efforts by some on the left have a negative effect, she rejects calls to keep peace efforts local.
