In countries with two levels of appeals, the Supreme Court does not function as the primary court of appeals on these sorts of issues and only gets involved with issues that raise pure issues of law worthy of resolution. In Israel, however, the Supreme Court also functions as the only court of appeal, so it must hear every case that appeals. When you say we should end the Supreme Court dictatorship, that really just means that we should create some other court of appeals. As long as there is government action, it is legitimate to bring a case seeking review of the action. The only question is which court will hear the case. Better the most-qualified jurists in the country, no?
