Democracy thrives on protest and criticism. It is the ingredient that keeps democracies healthy. It is important to know the difference between a government and a nation. Apparently Israel Harel is unable to do this. The current extremist right wing government of Israel is not the nation of Israel. The actions taken by Israel's current are often anti-democratic and would be right at home in a facist state. Facist states do not allow protests or criticism of the government and consider these activities as openly hostile. Eisner will be no great loss to the IDF. The very fact that he openly engaged in brutality in view of video cameras showed that his judgement or his observation skills are less than one would hope for in a professional army man.
