whether it comes from Stalinists or from equally disturbed right wingers. A university is supposed to be involved with a search for truth. Sometimes that will lead some academics into conclusions that are wrong. Academics are hardly free from error by virtue of their position. But the way to dispute with an academic is through the tools of acadamia: through studies, discussion, debate, persuasion all with the idea of arriving at truth. To mandate the answer is to put a straightjacket on inquiry. If you don't like the direction of Ben Gurion's faculty, don't go there. Start your own academic publication if you wish. But to engage in purges means that you don't believe in the merits of learning, studying and changing your mind if you are persuaded to do so. What kind of a Jew wants to undermine the very basis of learning and studying?
