Once in a while, Haaretz might think of not having talkbacks on every story. The Illinois courts are secular and like most American courts favor the women in divorce and custody actions. This is a family court issue, not a public issue or policy issue. Marriage and divorce in Illinois are civil and family law issues. And marrying somebody of another faith is not at all uncommon in the US. We even allow Buddhists to marry Mormons. . . and they don't have to go to some foreign country to tie the knot or to live together.
