I sense a feeling of insecurity in your passage. Maybe you are scared that we are on the threshold of redemption as shown by the miracle ingathering of the exiles from the ''four courners of the earth'', before the ''great and awesome day of HA-SHEM''. Maybe your insecure about your religion being very similar to the chiristians book and ours. Or maybe your insecure about the fact that AM YISRAEL has never been utterly destroyed and keeps coming back despite every attempt to destroy us. why? because ''I will remember my pormise with Abraham , yischak and yaakov and not destroy utterly destroy you''. Why have we been destroyed through the ages because we are a rebellious sinfull nation as tel aviv and haaretz shows, why have we not been destroyed because we are righteous nation as Jerusalem shows.
