When a civilian picks up a weapon, he is no longer by definition a civilian. That's how International Law and International Humanitarian Law define it. Those that wish to use non violent expression and actions deserve the protection that is granted to them as non combatants. I think that it is horrible that there are those combatants that wish to violate International Law and pretend to hide behind the law because they are too cowardly.
