So anti-Semitism just reared its head into the world in the past year?? While it's clear anti-Semitism is growing, it is already rampant throughout the world, and has been for many years. The fact is that many anti-Israel and specifically muslim leaders/countries (cough, cough: Iran) use the denial of the Holocaust as a piece of propaganda which delegitimizes the idea of a Jewish homeland in Israel. Those leaders also continue to incite religious war and the destruction of Israel, Jews, and those who support her. While you may call for the end of the Israeli blockade in Gaza (ignoring that Egyptian border) and an end of the "occupation", you ignore that virtually every freedom or autonomy that Israel has given to the Palestinians has been abused and resulted in violent attacks on Israel and its citizens. What you call "institutionalized xenophobia" is the result of the continual violent action and rhetoric directed at Israel by its neighbors and enemies.
