legally, you might have better grounds for arguing this man's claims. If a Jew converts to Islam, he or she is no longer a Jew. That would make the Jew a religious concept. However, a Palestinian, regardless of religion, is still a Palestinian. Having Judaism as a state religion seems a wonderful solution to the "Jewish State" problem, and would put Israel on much better grounds to defend itself in the political arena, but even then, only if it guaranteed that religion and nationality were separate things. When will Israelis begin to see themselves as Israelis and not just Jews living in Palestine?
