    That's the theory of secular historians. So to take a page out of the Palestinian proganda book, I guess the secular position is that the Jews have been around for over 10,000 years. But if you prefer the religious position, then the Creator of the Universe assigned the land to the Israelites, and it doesn't matter who was there before or later. Here's a typical verse, quoting Moses speaking to the Israelites: O My People! Enter the Holy Land which G-d has assigned you!" No, that's not from the Bible. It's from the Quran (5:20-21).
