It must not be forgotten,that the sole responsibility for that war is on Hamas and that Israel excercized tremendous restraint before going to that war. If Israel is attacked from a territory,from which it pulled out all of its soldiers and civilians,it's an act of war and Israel has much freer hand against such territories than against the territories it occupies. If this is not the case,than there's no use for Israel to cede territories and any peace move is useless and meaningless. The current atmosphere of hope for renewal of peace process is the result of Israel's victory in the war in Gaza.Without that victory,no peace process would be possible.And,of course,quiet in the south of Israel is the greatest achivement of that war.
