Of course,it would be better is all of those killed in the last war were only Hamas terrorists.But even if 578 were Hamas terrorists and "policemen" and 770 - civilians,it's normal for modern war,specially in so densely populated area,as Gaza. It must not be forgotten,that Hamas is responsible for that war and that Israel excercized tremendous restraint before going to that war. If Israel is attacked from a territory,which it does not occupy,from which it pulled out all of its soldiers and civilians,it's an act of war and Israel has much freer hand against such territories than against the territories it occupies. If this is not the case,than there's no use for Israel to cede territories and any peace move is useless and meaningless. The current atmosphere of hope for renewal of peace process is the result of Israel's victory in the war in Gaza.Without that victory,no peace process would be possible.And,of course,quiet in the south of Israel is the greatest achivement.
