Throughout the years, when the Czarist regime persecuted the Jews, and then again during Communism, the ones who risked their lives (and many were even killed) were the Lubavitchers! At the time of the coup of the government, when there were tanks and shooting in the street, I can assure you that Goldshmidt was nowhere to be seen, however Lazar who was out of town at the time RETURNED TO MOSCOW UNDER FIRE, and even kept his camp open! Chabad shluchim live in Siberia and any other outlying city, simply because they want to be there for every Jew, I know of Chabad shluchot who travel over 10 hours by plane to get to a Mikva! So a little scuffle with Putin won't hurt them CHABAD IS HERE TO STAY!
