A crushing response sadly was what was, and still is, required to resolve the issue of the qassams. Yes, Gaza is heavily populated, but the population put Hamas into power, supports it, and maintains it.Hamas also illegally holds an Israeli soldier which it kidnapped. The longer it takes to deliver such a response the more Israeli soldiers may die as Hamas builds its defenses. A normal country would have done so by now unders such intolerable conditions. But there is one standard for Israel and another for the rest of the world. America dropped nuclear bombs, the Europeans carpet-bombed German cities. Other countries will care about Gaza, but have not about Sderot. Maybe because the people in Sderot are Jews? If it is Jews that are dying or being injured, who in the world cares?
