I see no reason the Palestinians should waste time on new talks with Israel as long as Israel refuses to abide by its previous commitments under the Road Map. Netanyahu is a weak leader who does not have the political power to be a true partner in peace, president Obama's waffling on the settlements has lost any credibility as a leader he might once have had with the Palestinians and Abbas cannot maintain his coalition if he allows Israel to continue to expropriate more land, so in light of the lack of leadership by the US, and the political weakness of Netanyahu and Abbas, perhaps the best course is to have the dispute settled by the UN once and for all.
