Why did it first drive 600,000 of them from their land? Then why did it invade their remaining land (which was of course being occupied by Egypt and Jordan, illegally) and drive a few hundred thousand more out? Then why did it built colonies on this land, taking farms and villages acre by acre, uprooting olive trees, and demolishing houses? This is a most peculiar form of 'recognizing' the Palestinians. Most peculiar, indeed. Israel would be rather irked if someone 'recognized' them in they way they recognized the Palestinians. Rather irked, indeed.
