If Hamas did not embrace a terrorist ideology and did not rocket israel there would be no casualties on either side. Hiding amongst it's own citizens, provoking israel into defensive and pro active moves, Hamas can thank itself for the ongoing problems. It is much harder to build a state and infrastructure peacefully like Israel has done, than to supress ones own people, parade around with guns, grandstand in the name of God, and knee cap Fatah members. Hamas is not an example of true Islam, which is a peace loving humble religion. It is a grotesque comic book charicature of people unable to build a society, so end up destroying their own. B'tselem does a disservice to everyone by looking only to the number of victims instead of of to the root cause: Hamas is Evil.
