I agree with the gist of what Mr. Beiling said in his article that if the US is interested in pushing the process further then both Israelis and Palestinians will have to deliver. Howevber, as a Palestinians I am not sure that Bush is sincere about pushing the peace process forward. He has given his friend Sharon a free hand to do whatever he likes and he only pays lip service so as not to embarass Arab puppet regimes. As for Abu Mazen, although it is in our itnerest as Palestinians to put a stop to armed gangs of men plaguing the towns and vilagges, he desperately needs to show that his route will yeild some results but so far nothing has changed. Sharon's policy of settlements building is undermining Abu Mazen and his efforts to reform the PA.
